Joker was developed by Kerry Sharp, the WOW saddle fitter in the Benelux. As the son of a professional Jockey, Kerry was inspired to work with horses as well. He was born in England and there he worked from an early age in and around the stables with the racing horses. Kerry has worked with horses ever since.
Kerry has seen a lot of misery and his fascination has always been to help the horses live as comfortable a life as possible. That is why he is also a body worker for horses and chose the name: Horse Health Harmony for his company, because that is exactly what he stands for.
He is also a real inventor and invents the most innovative things that make the life of riders and horses easier.
First of all, he works as a WOW saddle fitter, mainly in the Benelux. He measures both new and used WOW saddles and checks them on a regular basis. You should not be in a hurry during such a session, but you can be 100% sure that it is perfect!
In his work as a saddle fitter, however, he comes across many riders who are asymmetrical, or who have an inefficient seat and balance. Even the most accurate saddle fit cannot compensate for these problems …
… nor can the horse solve this without risking potential injuries and inevitable asymmetrical muscle development.
But because horses are always looking for balance, they often try to compensate for their riders’ lack of balance and coördination. Therefore, horses often get injured by too much pressure. Or they show undesirable behavior because they are uncomfortable. Or they don’t perform as well as their potentials allow them.
Riders are often unaware that their posture and sitting are the cause of these problems. And that is exactly the reason that Kerry developed Joker. Joker allows the riders to develop themselves in such a way that they will no longer disturb the horse and that’s what Kerry was all about.
It is Kerry’s mission to ensure that every riding school in the world trains their students on Joker first, so that they have already developed a stable and effective seat before getting on a real horse.
Can you already see what this would mean for the horse!?!?
Kerry learned a lot from a Palomino stallion he trained. The horse became very famous because he performed in a music video. And you may have guessed it … His name was Joker …
